VEDC’s groundbreaking African-American Small Business Loan Fund has rolled out to Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York Tri-State area small businesses with enormous interest and success.

Since first announced, a total of 15 loans have closed deploying over $1.25 million to African American small business owners and 30 more loans in process totaling nearly $4.5 million. Of these businesses, 36% of the owners who receive capital through this program are women, a landmark number that purports the significance of this fund in African American communities and across the United States.

VEDC and our partners in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles are proud to play a major role in the drive to build small businesses with the best and brightest entrepreneurs.
