Owning your own business is one of the most rewarding opportunities to an entrepreneurial person, especially in Los Angeles, New York, or other large cities in America. Still, April 1st can be a stressful time for small business owners as they separate their personal and business transactions, determine their deductions, or figure out how to file their income tax for the first time.
The City of Los Angeles has started a new program called the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance or (VITA), which provides a free appointment and tax filing for taxpayers generally making $55,000 or less each year. The city offers volunteer tax preparers with extensive experience to help get you a tax credit in 2019. VITA is also available to disabled persons and limited English-speakers who require assistance with their tax returns.
