VEDC to Host Where’s the Money? Access to Capital Business Expo
Featuring Keynote Speakers City Controller Wendy Greuel and Ana Harvey, U.S. Small Business Administration Assistant Administrator, Office of Women’s Business Ownership
Los Angeles, CA – As a result of the current economic crisis small business owners are finding it more and more difficult to get the financing they need to stay in business, expand or even get started. During this severe credit crunch - there is help. VEDC (Valley Economic Development Center) will host its 6th annual Where’s the Money? Access to Capital Business Expo on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown, 711 South Hope Street, Los Angeles.
Where’s the Money? is a comprehensive access to capital event ideal for business owners looking for money for expansion, working capital, inventory, commercial real estate or equipment purchase. This year’s event includes a networking breakfast with opening remarks from City Controller Wendy Greuel, and a formal luncheon featuring keynote speakers Ana Harvey, Assistant Administrator, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Women’s Business Ownership and Chris Bryant, a veteran Brand Strategist and Executive Coach.
There will be workshops from a wide range of business resource providers, a business expo and a loan pavilion, where business owners can schedule a one-on-one with an expert loan consultant. Strategies for business growth will be featured as well as traditional access to capital solutions. Workshop topics focus on sources of unconventional financing and what it takes to qualify; recovering from the recession; creating a financial plan & staying within the boundaries and repairing credit.
