Discover Your Great Street
EDC, in parternship with Mayor Garcetti’s Great Streets Initiative and the Economic and Workforce Development Department, has created the Great Streets Great Business attraction program in support of City of Los Angeles’ Great Streets Initiative to provide small business assistance, retail recruitment, lease negotiation services, and access to capital services to businesses currently located on the 15 Great Street corridors.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti launched the Great Streets Initiative in 2013 to transform L.A’s commercial corridors into safer, more comfortable, and more culturally vibrant places for all Angelenos. Our commercial corridors serve as neighborhood anchors and as building blocks for the city’s small business community. By attracting new businesses and supporting existing ones, Great Streets and VEDC will enhance the Initiative’s first 15 corridors to create inclusive economic opportunities and foster a sense of community identity in each neighborhood.
VEDC and the Great Streets Initiative offers three important services to support the Great Streets Great Business program:
- Free workshops & consulting
- Debt financing options
